Default car troubles

so recently my carhas been acting up every once in a while. i'll start from a stop and the car bogs and almost dies and i give it gas and still nothing, then all of a sudden it revs and comes back to life. anybody know whats going on

Mine did that when the headers burned the engine harness on the right side, a .05 ziptie broke allowing it to fall on the header.

Does it throw a code? Sounds like a TPS gone bad to me.

well the service engine light is on because of my exhaust, next tuesday or wedensday im getting the codes deleted so i'll check for that one

My post was made under the assumption that no codes were present. Don is right if there are codes I'd start there. Mine had no active codes but when the harness was repaired it had many historic codes, cam sensor, crank sensor, TPS, and many more. Good times.

How do you know it's for your exhaust? Do you know the codes?
