have to agree peoples family/personal life should not be nearly as big a deal as it is in politics. Who cares that Bill nailed some ugly chick and lied about it, he never should have been asked by anyone other than his wife anyway. Or the fact that Palins(or what ever her name is) daughter is pregnant. WHO CARES!!!!!

Although you have to give her credit for being better looking than hillary

But any way I want to choose option c, they both suck and I want better choices. But I don't think that anyone worth a damn will make it that close to being pres of the USA.

Hell Im only 25 and have no clue at all

This is why all the people at the RNC looked old. My father used to tell me...

If you're not liberal when you are young - you have no heart.
If you're not conservitive when you are older - you have no brain.

She said it best herself at the end of this clip..

http://ccinsider.comedycentral.com/c...ewart-ann.html

The way I look at it... if it was okay for Hillary Clinton, it's okay for this worthless biatch... and personally I think they're both witches, so don't think I'm a Hillary fan.

**** her and **** McCain. We're all going to hell in a handbasket after this election.

so when Osama, er... Obama(my bad!), sends out the jack-booted thugs (just like Wilson) to make sure we comply with his form of marxism(refer to his books) maybe then we'll start to wake up to who's after our liberty... maybe.

not saying Mclame is much better(yawn!)... and while Palin sounds OK right now, time will tell.

while there's no chance that the libertarian party(or any other 3rd party) will get a chance, they have some interesting views(IMO)

This election is still about a turd sandwich and a douch bag.

pop quiz time!
In the last 20 years, which pres actually attacked the American people in their homes on American soil? answer: Clinton- Waco, Ruby Ridge, Elian Gonzales.... and there were likely more that they hid from us.

I got to admit, I actually like this new girl. If she wasn't running with McCain I could vote for her...

Just as it applies to her policy of sex ed, contraception and pro life. She is practicing what she preaches when it goes bad by ensuring her daughter has the baby. I disagree with the pro life movement because I think there are instances when it is appropriate but since you can't dictate what is appropriate I would say I am pro choice. I am republican and a conservative( by most standards) but the abortion thing is one area I deviate.

I'll never have a fetus in me, so i don't think i should be allowed to say either way. I just think it's odd she's against abortion even when it's incest or rape :/

So you're saying the child should be destroyed because his father was a criminal.

I think that's a dangerous precedent.

Wow, that's some amazingly paranoid propaganda.

I hope you don't actually believe that.

It should be a decision left entirely up to the "mother". Period! Funny the party that preaches less government involvement is pushing to have it control THE MOST personal issues.

Don't teach kids about sex, don't give them contraception, don't allow them to get an abortion if they "don't say no", and then don't offer them any help rasing a kid when they have to quit school & work at Walmart. Sounds like a stellar plan to me. Does anyone in the GOP ever put all the pieces together before they open their mouth?

That said I admire Palin for what she is doing, it's their decision. And maybe with a supportive family that has enough $ it might even work for them. But DO NOT tell me I have to do it that way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't often get into these threads, but Mark, I think you miss the point. The dems want to control the issue as much as the reps, just in different ways.

The reps don't want our schools(government) teaching children about the (im)morality of sex. Teaching the biology of it is just fine. The moral issues should be left to the parents.
The dems want to have the schools(government) teach them not only the biology of it, but the morality that they would have people accept as well.

This applies to contraception as well. Teaching what is out there and how it works is one thing. Teaching when/whether they should be using it and providing it with tax dollars is another thing entirely.

This is my biggest gripe with our current basic education system. It's spending WAAAAYYYY too much time and $ teaching our kids what churches and parents should be teaching. Schools are becoming the state church.

As for abortion itself, in most cases it's simply selfishness. In most cases adoption is the right alternative to dropping out and flipping burgers.

'nuff said.

So if you were raped,,, and got pregnant. Then you should carry that child full term, put it up for adoption, and let your body suffer the effects of some ******* that didn't care in the first place???

Thats just wrong. I am for abortion, but only if its because of an unwanted sex act..

Let me follow that up by saying that not all reps/dems hold to the party line. We all know that. There are some dems who think the parents should be the primary teachers on such issues and there are some reps who think the government should teach the morality of the issue from their perspective.

If you were responding to me, Lane, then please note that I specified "most" cases, not all. Rape is clearly an exceptional circumstance.

That misses the point as well. In such cases, it's a question of whether the mother should be 'required' to carry the physical result of the crime. While I personally would counsel a woman in such circumstances to try to look past the act and embrace the opportunity to love a new life, I would not feel it my place to force her to accept that view and carry it. This is especially true if she is having serious psychological after effects and views the pregnancy as a continued violation. Are you saying you would 'require' a woman to carry a child in such a circumstance?
