Exhaust Welders
OK, here's the story... I've been fighting a severe misfire on my Silverado SS for months now and have troubleshooted just about everything I can think of. One of the last things I did was cut my exhaust to check the cats and they are melted down pretty good. So for now, I running open headers and I still have a misfire. It's so damn loud that I can't drive it around much (to troubleshoot) without pissing off the whole neighborhood.
So, my plan now is to get the exhaust welded back up but go with gutted cats. (I have my rear O2's turned off.) I also have some Dougs e-cutouts that I want to install. I plan to install the cutouts right after the headers and move the cats back to where my resonators are and cut those off.
THE BIG QUESTION:
Does anyone a good welder who is willing to do this work for me? Most of the exhaust is stainless... I have pretty much all the pieces needed, just don't know anyone to do the work.
Anyone have any ideas? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post it here.
Thanks
Chris
