Default can plastic fender be repaired???

Hi, I was referred to this site for help with this question:

The front passenger side fender on my '94 Formula LT1 was recently vandalized and being short on dollars and since my insurance deductible is substantial, I was curious if I have an option to repair the damage, similar to fiberglass?

The damage is a rough-edge hole approximately 5" in diameter.

Thank you to anyone who can provide any advice.

Plastik weld can work in some cases. But, I would suggest a new fender. They are not expensive, the paint matching will cost more than the body panel it self.

Yeah, a five inch hole is substantial, fiberglassing it would require metal bracing and so on, I think a better idea is a new fender.

if iam not mistaken arent the fenders on these cars polyurathene?? which is a plastic, i think iam pretty sure these are polyurathene, 5 in hole isnt bad i have fixed worse
it is one of the easiest plastics to work with
but it might cost more so it might better off gettin a new fender, how much is the detucable, might be better off going through insurance
paying out of pocket its goin to cost more
