Default how to strip paint from an intake

ok so i bought a used ls6 intake and it had been painted over twice before....what is safe to use or is there anything safe to use that would strip the layers of paint off withought harming the intake any advice would halp

Eastwood Dekote works for me.

what exactly is that is it a spray??? like from an aerosol can and where can i get it at

You could always do a media blast if you have access to it.

thanks for the input but i do not have access to media blasting and that would be kind of expensive right??? any other input because that dekote isnt cheap either

It's only $17 for a quart, and you're not going to need anywhere near that much. You're probably gonna have to spend a little coin to get the job done right, or else I guess you could find a couple rusty razor blades and start scraping! You can at least go to Wal-Mart and get aircraft stripper or something like it.

ok i guess im asking i stripped and polished my wheels with a brand called peeler from auto zone and did a great job i was just wondering if using one of these substances would mess with the plastic intake?

where are you from? it would take about 10 minutes to media blast an intake, if that. look in your phone book or post up on here, im sure someone can help you out.
