Do I need a high temp clear or will regular acyrlic clear work with high temp. I am painting my valve covers so I am afraid regular clear will flake when heated up.
Thanks in advance

i used duplicolor. i made sure i cleaned the covers extremely well, sprayed 3 coats of primer, 3 coats of color, and 3 coats of clear. still looks great after 3 yrs. no fading or flaking

i primered, let sit for 20min, primered.......and so on. 3 coats primer first (no sanding), then 3 color, then 3 clear. baked mine under a bake lamp for 20min between coats
