Paint questions

Paint questions Couple of questions here. I have a 94 Medium Patriot Red Z28. The clear is coming off the hood and the right rear quarter panel had been badly repainted before I owned it. If I were to get just the hood and quarter painted, would it look bad? (as far as the rest of the car being faded?) I'm not sure if the paint is faded now, but that might change with new paint on two panels. And if it is faded, can it be brought back by buffing? What could I expect to pay for something like that? Thanks guys.
The car would need to be buffed out if you repaint the quarter & hood and it could possibly be brought back from faded. My mom had the roof band & mirrors painted red on her 96 Z28 back in 2003 and the body shop got the paint to match by buffing the car out. No doubt though in your situation the car is more than 7 yrs old so it may not be as easy to do that.
