Default Small cracks in clear coat

I repainted a head light cover a year ago. I completely stripped the old paint, put primer, paint and then clear coat. Unfortunately the car had to sit outside for the winter. It can get down to -30 Degree's C here. I finally got the car back on the road a couple of days ago, and now I've noticed small cracks throughout (what looks like) the clear coat on the entire head light cover that I painted. It looks like when you smash your windshield (a whole bunch of small cracks). It doesn't look too bad because you can only see these cracks at a certain angle.

Anybody know why that may have happened? Too much clear coat? Not enough?
