Default Cost to fix/paint SS spoiler

Roughly how much would it cost to do minor fiberglass work and then re-paint an 98-02 camaro ss spoiler?

Descibe minor or pic.

You are going to pay for meterials, paint, labor, disposal and depending on the color, the ability to match.

^^^ +1. Depending on damage, can get pricey.

This is the damage. I bought it online and what I received did not match the description/pics of how it was advertised. The pics i was sent were taken while it was on the car, the only thing i can think is that the guy though it was only taped on and ripped it off.

both areas around the mounting bolts are cracked

small chips around the bottom of the center support

2 scratches

chip right above the 3rd breaklight

I have a feeling that it will cost more to repair and paint than to buy another. The only problem is how hard they are to come across.

Id take that peice, and the car, go to a shop, get a quote. You may find buying one from RK Sports is prob cheaper since the is no labor in fixing.

That is what i plan on doing but i dont want to drive all around to a half dozen places getting a quote and seeing who is best. I'd rather get a rough idea of how much this will cost and then go to one place and if their quote is in the ball park of what i expect/ am willing to pay then i will get it done there. If their quote is a lot higher than what i expect then i'll go to place number 2 and so on.

Bottom line is I'm looking for a cash amount not advice ("take it to somewhere and find out" that does not help me).

I usually charge $100-$200 but I'm in Texas. I'm sure you could find someone to do it not as expensive as a shop.

100-150 from a guy you know, or that does work on the side. A shop is gonna charge at least 300. The damage isnt too bad, but there will around 4 hours labor, materials, paint, paint materials, and paint labor. 300 from a shop is a deal. I could see a shop charging more. Talk to the guys at these shops to see if they know anyone who does it on the side.

100 bucks is cheap. A quart of RM base (blue) is almost 140.00 so I would imagine a pint would be 70-80 just for the base coat figure another 100 for the clear and primer, then labor. I can't see anyone doing it for under 250 even someone on the side, unless they happen to have the base coat left over from another job, or they are using cheap paint.

I would charge 100-150 as well. Find a local guy who does body/paint work.
