96 Firechicken Green

My 96 Firebird brochure calls my car's colour:

Number 48 / Dark Green Metallic

What is the RPO code for this colour, and (in your opinion) is that "the best" green for Firebirds?

From what I looked at given the code 48, looks like -Dark yellow green poly- WA 9806. Most people refer to it as -polo green or dark green-.

Yeah, that's what I thought - Polo Green. Thanks for the confirmation.

It's a great colour, but (forgive my ignorance) what is "WA 9806"?

Is that the RPO / Paint code I should find on my glove box door, or a paint manufacturer's code?

WA 9806 is the paint code.

Been sanding the old paint (220 / 320 / 400) getting ready to repaint.

My gf really does not like the look of it right now, but the local gearheads just luv the STS - 10 lbs of boost is FUN!
