Looks like aircraft coating remover to me too. And looks like they did a great job on the body work but can't you paint carbon fiber too, or do you just like that look? Lucky my car gets put in the garage everynight, just for reasons like this.
How did they get your hood popped without getting inside your car?

Looks better Mike, any leads on the turds that messed the car up?
Still betting it was some ricer groupies trying to get back at ya for puttin a beat down on their turds.
Still think you need to paint the hood but replicate the Blackbird stripes (white hood, carbon fiber stripes)

I don't know about you but I wanna get my hands on them.
From the way it sounds it's probably the same person/persons. Anyone who would pop your hood and disconnect nitrous lines would put aircraft stripper on your paint or key your car.
To catch them, don't overthink it, most often they live nearby, they are oppurtunistic so look for patterns, weekend, day of the week. Get to talkin with your neighbors, they'll wanna know what kind of low lifes are hangin around the neighborhood and will keep an eye out.
Let's face it, the low-life that did it knows about cars, paint and they have for sure spread some word of their exploits to some other low-lifes. Try your local police precinct, if you wanna go that route, a detective may know the local charachters that pull these type of pranks and where they can be found. When you gather some clues you can pick the best time to set a car as a decoy and wait up for them.
What you wait with is up to you!
