Paint code for 1998 Mystic Teal
should be in the drivers side door panel under the vin with all the factory numbers. i went to autozone the other day and the guy there came out to the car to see the color code to match to the best touch up paint match

GM paint code 79. It'll be 79U on your RPO code sticker, towards the end--it's alphabetical. Might want to call the parts department at a Chevy dealership and ask if there is any other paint code, like the PPG paint code, because GM used 79 probably sometime within the past 50 years, and it could be a lime green or orange for all you know. Just tell parts at the dealership your VIN, your paint code, and ask if they can tell you what the code translates to so you can get something repainted.
