Default Paint mixing problem?

I bought some primer, base coat and clear coat to paint my license filler plate. On the mix sheet it said to mix 2 parts primer to 1 part reducer. So I throw 4 oz. of reducer and 8 oz. of primer into the mixing cup and mix, I noticed the mixture seemed very runny.

I turn the compressor on and run it up to 50psi (using conventional style gun) connect the gun and hit the license filler and the primer comes out clear! Something is not right and I am lost. Any help is appreciated.

No hardener? If the primer doesn't have hardener, get some that does. What kind is it and why are you priming the piece? Was it damaged?

It is a clear license filler I bought from Afterthoughts Auto.

bulldog is a joke. You have to prep the panel properly even when using that junk. Otherwise it will stick long enough to get a few rock chips and start peeling off. Its always better to stick with a single manufacturers product if possible, including adhesion promoters. Easier in the long run.
