Ls1 engine lt1 nose Hello everyone. I hope this post can stay active until I accomplish this. I want to put the 93-97 Camaro nose on my 98z28. I was told I need to redrill hood bumb stops, legthen fog light wires., and air cleaner will be in the way of 93-97 hood closing. Any help regarding head lights, fog lights, air bag modules, air cleaner. And any thing else I need to know . Radiator. will lights have same plug in I want to know all that needs to be done before I get started. Thanks . Will my 96 fenders bolt right up after i take off bumper cover. Someone mentioned new sheet metal but i didn't want to bombard him with so many questions Thanks.

Old post but still need help. I now know how to switch the nose but what should I do to change cold air intake because the 93-97 hood won't close because of air box sitting on top of ls1. I need to change that. Someone mentioned using a 2004 gto air box assembly. Anyone know how to overcome this.
Yeah you're going to have to use a custom air box or air filter set up. Honestly the best thing to do would be to look in the conversions & hybrids sections. But you're looking to do something like this....
I may be missing something, but wouldn't this be the same problem that the lt1 guy's who do the lid conversion run into? If you trim some of the underside of the hood, and maybe some of the lid base it should fit in there.. It may be a bit different on an ls car, but it seems to me like the general idea would be the same. Search "lid" in the lt1 section, there are a few different good threads on the lid conversion. OR couldn't you also run a standard lt1 cold air intake kit like Moroso or K&N?
