Even if you do your own prep work, which will only be slightly better than theirs unless you're a pro, they use the cheapest paint possible and as little of it as possible, that's just another reason why their cars peel.

Dont do it!! I had my camaro painted at maaco due to lack of money and it was the worst decision i have ever made. Looked fine for about 4 months until it started peeling off only to show that they didnt even prep the car for paint, just sprayed it... and i got the expensive paint job! They are thieves
Pohanka Collision center over off of four mile run in arlington has done great paint work on two of my mother's vehicles... and they were both involved in accidents. Not too sure about custom paint jobs though. Might be a place to start though.
