Thinking of repainting my front bumper Went over to my buddies place last night, and he was in the middle of bondoing/sanding/prepping the hood of his 94 gt for paint. I helped him for a little bit and it has somewhat inspired me to repaint my front bumper. My car is a black 97 ws6. The front bumper is in pretty good shape, but it looks like the lower half of it was sprayed over using a rattle can by the previous owner. So im looking to repaint. Question is, where can i find the paint code for my car? (maybe the rpo codes?) Also what paints, sandpaper and prep materials do you guys recommend? Thanks
If it needs no work, just sanded and shot, then you can wet sand the entire bumper with 400-600 grit making sure to get the spray paint all off, mask, prep, and spray. As far as paint code generic black can be bought with the code 99k, your gm paint code should be 8555

i bought the same code i dont really remember the brand it matched perfectly anyway i painted my RS but i didnt install them 
i changed my mind...anyway i bought half a Liter i painted 4 rims and 2 side of RS ground effect just to give you an idea...I THINK you will be fine with half a Liter...plz show me your end result as i want to paint my hood so i can see if u can match the color or not...gd luck
