Advice from a Paint Store
Hey everyone I have a little advice for everyone on paint out there and this isnt to bash anyone its to educate.
I worked at Finishmaster in columbia for a while and here are some things that people say at my job and here that are things yall should be aware of.
1)A paint color name will change between different paint companies. I.E. a color in DUPONT paint line may be called Electric Blue, and in BASF it might be called Bright Blue Metallic. So if your looking for a stock color I.E. Arctic White on a GM refer to the paint code and not the name so the white would be WA8624.
2)The term "Real Wet" means nothing to us. if you are talking about the gloss of the paint then that is one thing and I get that but sometimes people are also talking about the depth of a paint and that is decided by many things I.E. coats of clear on the car, if its a Tri-Stage paint job or other factors.
Please don't think i'm a bitchy paint jobber I just want to help you and the paint company you choose
