how long does paint last in a can?
i tried searching but not much answers. so im going to ask the fellow members from ls1tech and you what you guys can tell me.
we have been sanding down a car im trying to fix up and buying parts for it just right now dont have enough money to buy the paint and paint the car at the same time i can only do one at a time.
so im thinking of buying the paint for the car and holding it for at-least 3-4 months. was wondering if it will dryout or anything like that?
should i keep the paint some where cool like the fridge or in room temp?
let me know thanks.

I know my father has had a couple cans of Candy Apple Silver that he used to paint his wheels with on his '84 Chevy Custom Deluxe truck left over and he just used them on another set of small wheels for a wood splitter and they were about 4 years old and they are holding up just fine. I'm no saying that ever type paint will hold up that long but thats how long these cans of paint was good for.
