Professional body man help please
A friend of mine picked up a stock Firehawk hood the other day for cheap since it had some issues. The car went under a truck in a wreck but only chipped the hood in a few spots plus it put some stress cracks in the top of one of the nostrils and around the opening of it.
My question is what is the stock hood made of? If it's regular fiberglass then I have a good idea on how to take care of it but if its SMC then what is the process?
Thanks in advanced. Alex.

Hey man, plastic weld works great on urethane and bumpers and such, but not something like Smc or fiberglass. On something like the hood i would "V" out the cracks a bit and i like to use a product called Carbofill depending on how bad the cracks are. Its carbonfiber infused bondo. If the cracks are really bad and deep 3m makes a greenish 2 part Smc repair epoxy
