G2 Caliper Paint?

G2 Caliper Paint?
Anyone used it? It's kind of expensive ($100) but they can custom color match the paint to your car, which was why I was wanting to get it. They claim it holds up pretty well, better than rattle can VHT. Does anyone have any real world experience with it?

Not sure about the custom color. I was looking into G2 paint for my calipers but abit expensive, all I want to do is paint my caliper black and bracket silver. Dupli is half the price and really good compared to spray cans. But not really sure about the customization.

I was thinking of NBM but idk, think I might do black calipers with silver brackets with Camaro decal. Not spending more then 20 bucks for per color.

The black would probably look pretty good since it isn't a huge piece. There's a kid around my town who has a NBM T/A too but he put black torque thrusts with a polished lip on it and I think it looks absolutely terrible. So if I am able to find the NBM from dupli-color (DSGM505) I'm going to put high temp primer (about 500 degree) then the paint and maybe after that put some high temp clear on it. I have red calipers right now that the paint is coming off of terribly and it makes me sick every time I look at my nice rotors and then see gross calipers hugging them.

Not sure when SOM was available but I went to advanced auto and the guy helping me called duplicolor. NBM has been discontinued and the person from Duplicolor recommended I go to different site for the paint I needed. Little surprised by the price but if it's discontinued then it will be worth it. PM me for details on the site and price so I don't put anything about a non sponsored site in a public post. Good luck!

I just finished my calipers with the SOM from G2 and it looks good but its alot darker than it should be and doesnt match like i wanted it. it might have just been a bad batch, so i talked to G2 and there sending me a new batch to see if it turns out better. so hopefully i will do it soon again and will turn out the way i want it. goodluck with what you do

****, now I'm actually looking into getting that custom color paint from G2, 100 bucks is alot but that would be pretty ill to have my exact color on my caliper. Unless you think a normal dark blue would look good or get the real NBM color? Would prolly buy dupli-color for the brakets, silver or grey?

I've used it twice. Red with the stock LT1 calipers - turned out nice. Black with C5/LS1 calipers - didn't turn out as nice. By the time I applied the final coat the paint wasn't as smooth, it was so late I must of had the heater on the can. Then I didn't tighten the bleed screw so brake fluid leaked out after bleeding the brakes. For some retarded reason I used brake cleaner...I almost threw up. The brake cleaner removed the paint instantly. Glad I only shot the back side of the caliper so it looks decent with wheels on.
I found G2 paint for like $40.

The G2 epoxy caliper paint is wayyy superior to spray can paint. I've used duplicolor and g2 and the g2 is worth the money. The g2 caliper paint leaves a high gloss durable finish and has a workable paint time of about 3 hours. Make sure the caliper is really clean before you try to paint it. If it's not clean, your wasting your time.

I used both the duplicolor brush on kit and G2 kit. I have to say that the G2 kit is much better. It gives a nice gloassy look to it plus it holds up better than the duplicolor. I definitely recommend it over the duplicolor kit. If you are looking at getting a nice match to the factory NBM color, I remember some guy made a thread about using the mustang vista blue color. It matched good from what I remember.
