drivers fender gap problem

drivers fender gap problem i took my 94 trans am front bumper and fenders off. i started to put it back together earlier, starting with the drivers fender. i cant for the life of me get a steady gap at the door. the bottom is SUPER thing and the top is a half inch gap or so. no amount of prying and adjusting was getting me anywhere. i cant visually SEE what the issue is. all of my bolt holes still have adjustment space, and i can see where the bolts used to pinch down at. is there something i am missing or need to be doing?

You may have to adjust the bracket the front of the fender bolts to. That will allow the top mirror side of the fender to lean back and you should be able to even it out. Fwiw most cars I've seen (fbody's) do have a smaller gap at the bottom vs the top. However you can get it close these cars are far from perfect when it comes to the body fitment.

one more note dont tighten any bolts and start at back and move forward
