preping question Im finally going to have a chance to fix the crack in my front bumper and prep my hood for paint, but wont be able to get it painted for about 2 weeks, are there any steps i should take to ensure my painter doesnt have to reprep everything, or should i just wait to do the prep until right before i have it painted?
You can go ahead n prep both,before you prep wipe down with wax n grease remover,sand them both down n scuff them,then wipe down with wax n grease remover again,wouldn't hurt to put a peice of plastic over them.do u know what to sand them with,if not need to know if there primed,what color there going ect.

wipe down with wax and tar remover
(repair crack)
wet sand from 150-220
wax and tar remover
flex primer
scuff with red scotchbrite
filler primer
wet sand from 220 to 600
Repeat the last 2 steps as necessary
priming with grey since car is silver
