Flat Trans Am bumper..
Flat Trans Am bumper.. So I was looking at my Trans Am and was looking how the back bumper protrudes out and wondering how it would look if it was just straight down from the taillights. I'd keep the line and exhaust openings the same. I'm gonna be making a panel to go where the taillights and center panel go to mold in Vette taillights. So it's with that Vette inspiration that I think of the flat bumper. Anyone feel like photoshopping? I'm afraid my skills aren't up to par to do a chop like that..
I was thinking of doing this to my old camaro before it got totaled(RIP), but I was still wanting a small 1-2 in lip to not make it to plan, I'm sure you'll have to cut the bumper support or get rid of it all together but may look cool. I don't know **** with Photoshop so can't help you their.
I know JasonWW did a BUNCH of front bumper chops as did I but doing this kind of chop is outta my league. I was planning on removing that plastic behind the bumper, as it's not gonna be a DD car anyway. Now that you mention it, a little lip would be good. It would make it easier than trying to eliminate that line that goes on the sides of the bumper...
I think if you had 2 bumpers it would be easier, that way you could cut the majority of one and maybe pieces of another to piece together and blend the body work right, something like some 3m 8015 glue or something strong maybe fiberglass and filler I think it would be something different but cool, n not to many people would be willing to try due to the amount of work but probably worth it in the end!
