Hail damage repair ?

Hail damage repair ? We had hail damage this past week in Westchester county New York. A bunch of cars are dinged up. How do auto body shops repair this. Do they replace hood and trunk lid or do they use body filler and smooth out then paint. How do they repair the hail damage on roofs. Thanks

Well, the only thing that should dent on a 4th gen is the hood (if not an SS) and the rear quarters. They'll Paintless Dent Repair the steel hood and quarters. Hail shouldn't really affect the plastic/urethane and SMC parts unless it breaks them... and then... I don't know what they do.
Well its according to how bad n how many dents their are if it's bad theyll replace the hood n maybe PDR the rest, some times they'll have to use filler n fix, they go by how much it will cost to fix(PDR) the panel if it's over a certin amount then theyll do a conventional repair(body work) then paint.
I paint at a body shop in TN and we where killed with hail a few month ago, we'll be fixing hail cars till next march or so, been at work most nights till 8 am till 11-12pm ***** gettin old,lol!
