Default Scraped up side skirts?

When I bought my car the drive side side skirt was scraped on a speed bump. Well over the summer I scraped my passenger one at a drive-thru window. How much would I be looking at to repaint them? Just tell the body shop to repaint them for me or do they need any prep work I can do on my own? Thanks in advance.

if you can take them off i dont know if you can i would guess in the 350 range for a good paint job. save a little if you sand it.

well are you completely preping them then giving him them? Hey will have to get your paint made which you cant just get how much you need you have to get a set amount they sell. They have to put flex adgent in the primer and paint because that is a fiberglass part. 3 layers of primer, 3 of color, and 3 or 4 of clear. There is also a minimum price for stuff at paint shops. Do you know of any paint shops around you that are good?

Go to a auto paint supply store and give them your paint code. They can put the paint in a spray can for you. You can sand them yourself. Then apply store bought primer -- dupli color automobile sandable primer. Spray the primer then spray the paint after primer dries. Skip the clear coat spray. It wont be as glossy or nice as a paint shop but it will save you around $350.00

You know this is something I have considered. When I got my first car (99 Camaro) I put RS ground effects on it because that was the cool thing for a 16 year old to do. It looked presentable doing it in the garage but I just dont think I can cut corners this time around. I still have to call for some quotes but that will be a last resort option..
