Post Project SS!!!!!!

i bought the car year ago.it had really bad paint-job on it.single stage.so i decided to bring her back to life sense i go to school for auto body.as of right now half of the car is primed.had to do a lots of stripping to get that shitty *** paint off.quarter panels i had to take down to the factory primer.i will give more info and add more pics as the progress takes place.

FIRST DAY.HAD TO HAND BLOCK EVERYTHING WITH 80 GRIT DUE TO BAD PAINT JOB.

STRIPING DOWN THE BACK BUMPER COVER

HAD TO WET-SAND 220 BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT IT TO DIG INTO THE SMC.TURNED OUT PRETTY GOOD.

PRIMED THE QUARTERS.3 NICE HEAVY COATS

PRIMED THE OTHER PIECES

PRIMED THE AIR LID.

THIS IS WHAT GOING TO BE ON THE AIR LID.

this is it for now.feel FREE throw in your two cents in.lol

BLOCKED THE SAIL AND QUARTERS PANELS WITH 180.GOING TO REPRIME THEN 320 IT THEN 600.USUALLY U HAVE TO PRIME IT ONCE AND 320 IT AND 600 BUT SENSE MY PAINT WAS IN BAD SHAPE ITS GOOD IDEA TO PRIME IT TWICE.

SAME THING FOR ALL THE OTHER PANELS

I SHAVED THE BOW-TIE EMBLEM.PLANNING ON LEAVING IT, OR AIR BRUSHING THIS CUSTOM EMBLEM ON IT.

PRIMED REST OF THE CAR

BOTH OF THE ROCKER PANELS HAD FEW BAD DENTS.

BLOCKED EVERYTHING WITH 180.READY FOR RE-PRIME.

HERE IS ONE OF THE SAMPLES OF CUSTOM PAINT.IT'S BAYSIDE BLUE METALLIC AS BASECOAT MISTED BLUE ICE PEARL(HOUSE OF KOLOR) ON TOP.WHAT YOU GUYS THINK?

NOW THIS IS THE JUST THE BAYSIDE BLUE METALLIC BASECOAT WITHOUT THE BLUE ICE PEARL.

SHOULD I DO THE BLUE ICE PEARL ON TOP OR JUST STICK WITH BAY-SIDE BLUE METALLIC COLOR.

That looks like a lot of work. How much would your shop charge to do all that?

Stick with the base blue, the ice is a little too much if you ask me. That color is going to stand out enough, adding the ice takes away from the color. An SS camaro has enough aggression and curves from the factory that you don't need to go crazy with paint and graphics to make them look really clean.
