I have never seen anyone do this before. I don't know the tinting laws in PA but I am pretty sure anywhere painting your windows would be illegal. I do the tint on my car myself & never have a problem with it peeling. If you go to a reputable tint shop normally they have life time warranties ( at least if they are a good shop ) that are from peeling, cracks & bubbling.

NO. if you got a quality tint, it would not peel. I have had the same tint on my car for 6 years and it looks just like the day it was put on.

When you open the doors in the rain, it promotes peeling with the water getting in between the tint and the glue. The extreme heat also makes it peel.

I'd rather have a permanent solution that replacing tint.

I have 5% tint all the way around and cops don't bother me so that's not a problem.

There is zero chance of that spray paint sticking to your glass long term if the windows are rolled up and down. Get your windows tinted by a pro that uses Llumar tint and it should be good for the distance. If not it has a warranty that will outlast your interest in the car.

with the problems you've had, was that tint doe by you, or a shop? My cars have been daily drivers, staying outside year around, windows constantly rolled up and down, and I've never had a single issue with peeling or anything. But I've always gone to good, reputable shops. Hell, I have doubled up tint on my sides now, and even with that extra thickness I still don't have peeling issues.

even if the vht did stand up to the up-and-downs and the elements, I can't possibly see you getting a nice, EVEN layer of that stuff on the window so that you can't see your spray lines.

The car was tinted when I got it, the passenger side was peeling when I got it and the back was starting to a little (rolling up).

I replaced the passenger side and it's peeling a little bit, my T-Tops leak a bit too so water seaps in only when it rains really heavy.
