Default hood options for camaro

ok asking for info/votes etc on aftermarket hood, for my 98 Z28. ive decided the SS hood is too overdone etc,. .. i wanna go with a cowl hood/sunoco type hood. questions are:
what brand did you get?
what was total price, paint install etc..
how was fitment?
issues?
pics before/after?
2 or 4 inch cowl..

JOE VAN O all the way. Featherlite carbon weighs 6-7LBS. Hood is trim to fit so fit and finish wont be an issue. Order the carbon dzus rails to for easy installation of pro stock dzus fasteners so the hood is secure and you wont experience the bouncing or vibration that are associated with some aftermarket hoods.

I had a VFN cowl hood on a prior Camaro. Fit and finish were great. Seeing as I fall into the "overdone" catagory, I would go with the Sunoco!

The SS hood will never be "overdone", thats like saying a ram air Trans Am hood is overdone. Never!

Sunoco hoods are pretty sweet though

It wasn't bad at all.

To be honest, it was pretty cool looking over the cowl while driving! The really neat part about the hood was that I had the induction set up from
6LE that actually puts the air filter in the cowl!

I really miss that car.

Im not sure about prices yet as i have not bought mine. I have a broken SS hood on my 02 z28 camaro. I saw a couple cars with cowl hoods and now im hooked. This is what im planning on doing.
