engine paint trying to get my block and heads cleaned up so i can get them painted, there is alot of the original black paint left in the smaller crevices and some surface rust and alot of oil and mud (junkyard engine) left on the block, the heads will scrub up because they're aluminum. i've been using purple power, super clean, gunk, brake cleaner, armor all wheel and tire cleaner, scrapers and a dremel. is there any better way to get all of this stuff off without having it hot tanked, bead blasted, ect ect? thanks in advance for nay help. its a stock 99 5.3 by the way. no the easiest block to clean

i was going to get some actual paint stripper and brush that on and let it soak tomorrow. the hardest part is all the nooks and crannys, these ls blocks are alot different then older sbcs and alot harder to get totally clean. i should mention im trying to smooth it out a bit aswell. it is mostly clean but i do want to get all the factory paint off before i repsray it
