Default plasti dipping rims?

I plasti dipped the stock rims black on my old red 94 camaro and it turned out pretty well. Now that I have my new camaro I'm thinking about doing the same thing but with a little twist. Its a black 98 z28 with 5 spoke c5 corvette rims, when I bought the car I wasn't paying much attention, one of the rims was polished and the other 3 were just silver. What is your opinion on dipping the rims white with black spokes?? It sounds kinda ricey, but I wanna do something different, and does anyone have an opinion on the plasti dip glossifier?

I'd do it. I had made mine all black, and all white after I bought the wheels on my T/A with Plasti Dip. A nice silver works too. Once I get my car repainted to HO to match my brothers SS, I'm getting the wheels painted silver.

IMO it'll look a little ricey, probably like how my sig pic looks, but if you like it that's good. I think most people are just over the painted lip thing, I sure as hell am, was never really a fan to begin with of black wheels, or painted lips.

Your talking about the c5 wagon wheels right? I'm actually I'm the process of doing them if it ever warms up. Centers black and lips silver. If it ever warms up again here I'll let you know how the glossifier works, I just got it today.
Eventually I'll polish the lips and paint the wheels, I just have too many other things to do right now.

you will never keep the white clean due to brake dust and it is difficult to scrub plastidip clean without tearing it

waste of time/money and it will look like **** 99% of the time from being dirty alone and look ricey 100% of the time regardless

Might be tough considering masking tape usually pulls the dip up.

The best way to go is pull up the tape while the dip is pretty wet

I'm kinda over the plasti-dip craze. It was a neat concept at first, but the finish just isn't there for me. It looks cheap and "boy racer", but that's just my smelly opinion.

Thanks for your opinions, I think I'm just going to end up doing them black, still not sure about doing the glossifier tho..I would leave them un-dipped but a can't stand Rollin around on rims that don't match.
