Door rub/ alignment

Door rub/ alignment Ok so my drivers door appears to have straight body lines, but it has rubbed the paint off the rocker panel..... It's about an 18 inch thin strip.
What would cause this and how should I fix this?
Can I raise the striker an 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch?
I'll post a picture tonight after work.
