Aligning body panels

Aligning body panels
So this has been something I've been meaning to do, just have no experience/knowledge. Before I owned my car it was hit on the drivers side, causing damage to the front bumper and the hood (and I suspect the drivers side fender was pushed in a bit).
I think the hood was replaced with an aftermarket hood (anyone know of a way to tell?) and painted with really cheap, ****ty paint. On top of that, while the hood is aligned perfectly with the drivers fender, the pass fender is aligned great at the top of the hood, but the gap at the end of the hood (by the headlight) is about twice as wide.
Is it possible to adjust the fender inwards at the front end of it or would that screw with the alignment of the front bumper?

Depending on the hood and the brand, it may have been molded bad and does not correctly line up.
Also, that wreck could have shifted things which is another reason it could not be aligning.
Have you taken it to a body shop to get it inspected?
