Default Collision repair: What to expect?

Been a long time since I posted here. I'm hoping someone can give me an educated idea of what to expect with this repair.

Side swiped hit and run this week (with Granddaughter in back seat!). Since they can't get the $ from the other guy, my AAA policy is sticking me with the $500 deductible.

I'm scheduled for Tuesday at ServiceKing Collision Repair here in Phoenix.

Aside from asking to see the repair work before they prime it, what else should I know?
How much filler should I expect?
Will the repaint just be in the localized area?
Or... should I insist an undamaged panel and door be found? (that actually sounds best to me)

The door still opens and latches shut, but doesn't lock and the dome light stays on.

Reading horror stories online of shoddy collision repair and even collusion with insurance companies.

Thanks for all info and advise.

Im not an expert, but I suspect the rear quarter they'll beat out as best they can and then use filler to smooth it out, and more than likely just replace the door with another one instead of trying to fix it, as far as paint they'll have to repaint the entire panel and door, maybe have to blend the paint in the adjacent panels(rear bumper and front fender)

Thanks for that.
The more I read, the more I think they should be able to replace both the door and panel. Ebay has quarter panels for $400.
I can't figure where the forward part of the panel ends. At the windshield base? Would they just cut and weld it above the door somewhere?

+1 ^^^ I've seen that same damage repaired by cutting the section from the window to the pan out and welding a new section in .. If a good shop has it it will be fine.. I also had a car with similar damage,, and on my car it ended up totaling it so I didn't ever find out the end cost ..
