rust starting underneath so obviously the car is 18 years old so its gonna start rusting. its mostly real good shape, anything rusty enough to be concerned about is something that can be replaced, (a arms, heat shields etc) but in some spots underneath, some spots are starting......they kinda look like morgan freeman, all freckily. any chance rust oleum will help here? maybe just hit it with an air powered wire brush and repaint?
I used a good quality rust converter and then a product called chassis saver on my 35 yr old el camino and it pretty much stopped the rust really well. The rust converter worked better by just lightly scuffing instead of wire brushing. Finish is tough as nails after the chassis saver. The rust converter that works really well is Corroseal 82331 WaterBased Rust Converter.
