Sebring silver variances?
Sebring silver variances? My drivers door skin is cracked. It's not bad but needs repaired and I'm sure it will cost around $500 after paint. The alternative is to buy another door in the same color which I've found for $100. Problem is will the color match? It's a couple hour drive from here but I don't want to mess with it if that door needs paint too. Should I be concerned about factory paint matching from another car? Same model year

I would be less worried about any factory variance and more about the fact it's 19 years removed from the factory and could have experienced various amounts of fade, or perhaps even a repaint of its own at some point (due to damage, etc.) which may or may not match. But, as it's a vertical surface and not a fade-prone color, it might be OK.

When they spray the door it's not going to match either. They'll do a blend and depending how large the repair area is... the blend may extend to the quarter, the fender or both. The blend will trick your eyes in seeing a matched panel. Silvers are almost impossible to match without a blend.
