Can my door be fixed ?
See the scratch and the chip
Some times a paint restoration specialist will do a spot touch up like your door as part of color correction. A skilled one can made it look a lot better but probably not perfect when to the metal. It may end up costing almost as much as respraying the door depending on who & where.
Expect a looks it OK from 10 feet away repair result.
My T/A's hood had two dozen chips. Two to the metal and promptly rusted. The smaller chips the paint restoration specialist did an outstanding repair. The two needing more than a drop of paint to cover the damaged area having depth to metal, you can see the repair. Overall, I'm happy with repair.
Sorry I don't have a close up of two worst chips. I think hood looks OK from ~10 feet.
Best wishes with getting the door repaired.
So in your situation, 3 panels would get sanded down for paint adhesion. The whole damaged panel would get re painted then blended into the other 2 panels. Then all 3 panels would need recleared at the end.
If your going for a just not as noticeable look..... you would use a fine filler putty then your touch up paint then dab some clear over it and wet sand it when done to smooth it out. This option will look good when done right but a body shop is not going to go this route. You would have to do it on your own or someone willing to do it on the side
