How much paint and clear do I need?

How much paint and clear do I need? I have a 01 Sierra ex cab and I知 wondering how much paint I値l need to do a full color change. I知 not worried too much about the inside of the bed because I知 probably going to rhino line it. I was thinking 1 gallon of base and 2-3 quarts of top coat then a gallon of clear. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks guys.

When my Camaro was painted (jams and all) I was told 2 gallons paint and 1 clear.
I guess it will really come down to color it is now, and color it's going.(some colors cover fasterandbetter than others)

You will need a gallon of sealer, and a gallon on paint, and a gallon of clear.
Most paints after mixing reducer will make about 1.5 gallons
Most clear coats will make 1.25 gallons some will make 1.5 gallons after mixing in hardener.
I usually do 1 coat of sealer, 2 coats of paint on roof, and 2 or 3 coats of paint on the rest of the body and always have some left over.
Then I will do 2 light coats of clear followed up with a nice glossy wet coat.
