I hit a deer. Help. So I hit a deer (night, windy road, unavoidable etc). I need to replace my SS hood and bumper. Where can I find those parts? they don't manufacture them anymore and there is no junkyard within 100 miles of me that has those parts. Is the fiberglass aftermarket stuff ok? my body shop is telling my to total the car.... I do NOT want to do that.
There's aftermarket parts out there if you search online. It was a few years back but I purchased a new front bumper and both fenders for like $300.Needless to say they're still sitting in my shop!

If you want OEM parts, there are part-out cars for sale from time to time in our classified section. In fact, someone was parting out a 2000 SS recently with an OEM hood, but I just checked the ad and the hood is already sold.
There are certainly aftermarket hoods and bumpers too, but OEM is always going to fit the best. You could try other on-line marketplaces; facebook, Ebay, Craigslist, etc. for individual parts or original cars being parted out (might be able to find everything from one car). You could also post a WTB ad in the marketplace here.

I really would try and find OEM. Aftermarket never lines up right. My hood is aftermarket and although its a good aftermarket one, it took me several house to make it align up even and it is still not 100% right.

Thanks for all your replies. Does anyone know about Hawk motorsports hoods? I've used them before but apparently they will sell me an OEM SS hood for 2500 dollars (including shipping and taxes). Its kind of expensive but it may be worth it for an OEM hood.

Hawks sells a lot of used F-body parts - they buy and part-out various cars as the source. They also sell a bunch of reproduction parts for these cars. They are well known, I have ordered from them myself.
Depending on how far you are shipping the item, that price might not be too outrageous. I've definitely (recently) seen much better deals for OEM SS hoods, but said deals did not include shipping (local pick-up only).
