Default LT1 Firehawk Hood Restoration thread

This will be a restore thread of an LT1 Firehawk hood. I believe all Firehawk hoods 93-02 are SMC, not fiberglass. Sheet metal composite. Except the very late LT1s used fiberglass WS6 hoods. Over time they dry out, expand, and crack. Particularly around the nostrils and edges. Fiberglsss will not work long term. I'll try to be as detailed with pics, products, and procedure in this thread as I can. I will continue to update my progress.
This particular hood came off of a 95 or 96 Firehawk. Possibly 97, but late Firehawks came with WS6 hoods. Something about a fire burning down the warehouse where the Firehawk hoods were manufactured.
This particular hood came off of a 95 or 96 Firehawk. Possibly 97 due to the paint color. Later LT1 Firehawks came with WS6 hoods. Something about a fire burning down the warehouse where the Firehawk hoods were manufactured being the reason.

You can see the cracks surrounding the nostrils. Some are quite large around the septum.
