Rust Problem

Rust Problem Got some rust forming on the hinge on the driver's side door. Was wondering what the best way to combat this problem would be?
Sand as much of the crap off as possible without ruining the rest of the paint, then use a rust remover, then use some kind of a sealant?
I thought this would be a fairly common problem, but I couldn't find anything with Search.

If it is on the actual hinge itself I would try and clean it up as best as possible and touch it up. No sense in going nuts with it. It is a thick piece of metal that will not rust and fall apart. If it does, you have bigger problems then a hinge.
