Clear Coat Q?

Clear Coat Q? I just picked up a 2000 Onyx Black SS and the clear coat is full of swirl marks and small nicks, (none down to the paint, that i could tell). How would i go about fixing the issue of the paint looking so worn and old? I want the deep shine of a new car back! 
Would Zaino work? or am i better off sending it to a professional?

pictures would help first so we could tell you what to do. if it IS bad enough, id get it professionally buffed and polished either with a low speed(DA, dual head, etc.) or high speed buffed depending on the damage.

Well, you maybe talking about 2 different problems. Swirls are easily taken care of by a polisher. If you've not done it before take it to a professional, especially since it's a black car.
"Nicks" When I think of nicks I think of chips or gouges in the paint. That's not buffed out. That's going to have to be wetsanded out most likely and that's a bit more involved.

Well there are two minor nicks not to the paint, maybe more along the lines of scuffs to the clear coat. And no i have never done an entire car b4. How much is the normal range for a really good job of buff and wax, if i provide the supplies.
Anyone in SoCal that could do it? I'd buy lunch/beer on top of compensating them for their labor.
