Best product to remove paint?
Best product to remove paint? I didn't know where to put this, figured someone in here would know, lol. I bought some new rotors from GM, and they come with some gray spray paint to protect them from rusting during shipment/storage. I want to dip them in something to remove the paint before I proceed. (I am then going to use a metal prep/etch product and repaint with hi-temp paint for a more permanent solution to rust, these things rust from inside the cooling vanes something awful).
Anyways, I went to the hardware store today to pick up something, and there were literally 100 different products. There was paint thinner, lacquer thinner, acetone, toluene, turpentine, turpatine, xylene, etc etc, you get the idea. What can I get to remove the paint off of these things (the paint is up in the cooling "fins" also, so it will have to be something I can soak the whole rotor in and not actually hurt it) pretty easily and safely? Which would be best for this application?

It should be a mild, water based paint that they use for shipping. Sometimes you can just remove it with soap and water and a scrub brush.
If not, try brake cleaner first. If still no luck, try use aircraft remover, that should get the job done without question, but it wil be smelly and messy.
