Opinion on reasonable charge for some paint work
• Intake manifold
• Lower airbox/radiator shroud assembly
• Valve covers
• Coil brackets
• Water pump + pulley
• Belt tensioner
I already performed the following prep.
• Sanded intake manifold and airbox down to 400 grit
• Sanded valve covers down as far as I require them to be
• Lightly sanded coil brackets to scuff paint
• Thoroughly de-greased everything
I asked for a quote on painting/clearing everything black. The first shop was not comfortable doing the work. The second shop said they would use an epoxy primer on the plastic and some sort of acid prep on the aluminum to promote proper adhesion. I told them the only items I required to have a smooth gloss finish are the intake runners and lower airbox. Everything else just needs to be glossy black and durable, but not smooth. The shop is supposed to give me a quote tomorrow afternoon. I have no idea what would be reasonable for them to charge. What do you think?

In my garage, the primer is drying on my intake and lower airbox right now. If I am satisfied after light sanding, I will apply basecoat Saturday night.
