What Should I Look For??
What Should I Look For?? Just wondering what I should look for in a good body shop as far as warranties and products used....Like should I look for a shop using a certain type of paint? etc etc.

Lifetime warranty is pretty much the industry standard anymore. Our shop does use DuPont paint but there are other good paint companies as well. PPG, BASF, Sikkens, all are well known and make excellent products. I know that I may have left out some other manufacturers, but I have never used their products so I cant say if they are good or bad. As far as what to look for in a shop, You should use your best judgement. Word of mouth is a good way to find a reputable shop that does quality work. Also when you go for estimates, ask if they have a baking downdraft booth, and all necessary current equipment. Do they have ongoing continuing education either I-CAR, ASE or Manufacturer training. Anything that you would want to know you should be able to ask and get a straight answer for. It is your car and you have the right to take your car to any shop that you want. NO insurance company can make you take your car to somewhere you dont want.
Yeah alot of the shops only offer a 1 year or 3 year warranty on the paint around here and I deffinetely dont like that! Yeah a couple shops around here use Sikkens and most use DuPont I just would like to know which is the best paint.
