i personally have used laquer thinner and then an putty knife to scrape the nightshades off. after you put the thinner on it will soften the paint. you can allways wetsand it.

when i used the laquer the paint was still relatively wet. I am unsure if that makes a difference.

i would recommend wet sandin it.

rubbing alcohol didn't work for me and laquer thinner will definitely f*ck them up (I know from my buddies attempt).. I say +1 for wetsanding em. Have you tried to even out the vht? Depending on how dark your nightshade is you could buy blackouts.. just my .02 cents

You're probably going to have to sand them back down to how they were before you sprayed them. Did you make sure to wet sand the lights really good before you sprayed the first coat? Make sure you spray them really even and don't try to fix something by spraying it more in one area because most likely you'll end up with weird build up spots.
