Default Need Advice On Berger Panel Fill In???????

I just got my panel back from the body shop for the second time,I had the body shop fill in the CAMARO,and he used fiberglass and its still showing threw ,even after scuffing and curing some more, then repainting, its still shows threw?HE was thinking of doing another for me ,but this time butting the glass in in layers instead of all at once, and letting it cure inbetween layers or using that plastic repair stuff that cures to a rock finish,ANY IDEAS GUYS??? THANKS BARNAT

I just got my car back from the body shop(had an accident) but while it was there I also had the berger panel filled in. I'm not exactly sure what he used but it turned out very good. I don't have any pics yet but either tommorow or sunday I'll snap some pics.

i would go with a plastic repair filler, one desinged to bond to plastic. SEM makes great plastic repair material and i would just rough it up,bevel the edeges on the letters and cut some repair tape in layers then wipe material in and a layer of tape, then repeat, and then your final wipe of repair material covering the letters completly, slighty raised with the last peice of tape below the bevel. i would personally bevel them quite alot so there is a ot of area to bite into. You sould also use some adhesion promotor on it before the repair, but give it plenty of time to dry. then sand it down and shoot some filler primer on it. Or if you know someone that can plastic weld they can fill the letters in and it would be like it was never there one solid piece of plastic if its plastic. im not sure iwhat it is if it looks like fiberglass it might be smc and then it would need smc repair material.

if you are talking about on the bumper
bevel the edges so that u dont see the letters but dont put a hole in it
then use a plastis filler from 3M or SEM and then u have 2 use an flexable primer SEM has one
