Default Whats it take to fix this?

I was driving down the highway the other night and I heard what sounded like a .45 going off IN my car but something hit my door and put a nice little ding in the SMC.

shouldnt be too bad, is it cracked all the way through? they may be able to patch it up with resin/fiberglass or bondo depending on where its hit and throw some paint and clear over it and blend it. get a pic of the damage so we can see the entire body panel affected

damn, that looks like a freakin bullet hole to me, the main portion of it at the top is nice and round like a bullet.

i'd check inside the door panel and see if there's a slug in there....

coulda been some jackass with one of those "industrial-sized" slingshots, too, shooting marbles or metal bearings at people driving down the road

thats repairable, they make filler panel material specifically for smc fiberlgass. should be able to repair that, prime it, block it down, throw some sealer on it, blend the paint around the area and reclear the panel and be back to good as new.

that not a bullet hole. bullet holes dont splinter like that. They are usually smoot holes with the metal bending in. The only way that could be a bullet is if the thing was shot from so far away that it had time enough to slow down. In that case it would have probably put a decent sized hole in the door. But that is no accident. Some did something to it.
