Default best way to....

I have a few chips and nicks on my hood. I want to use some touchup paint. what is the best way to get these fixed and if i use touchup paint any tips or tricks on how to use it?

I had a bad gouge in my hood and fixed it. I touched it up with single stage and applied it a few times to make sure it was covered good. After that I wet sanded it flat and then buffed the area. Cant even notice it now.

thats what id reconmend if it was a solid color, but wouldnt look right if u tried it on a metalic. Same thing i did to my black TA for a temp fix
