Default Paint gun question

I need to buy a paint gun I went on ebay, Would you buy a cheaper gun they have everything like adjustments and tips that an expensive one has or just get a good one. I have no experience with a cheap ones I only painted with good ones that were used everyday and maintained. The cheap one off ebay look nice there like between $25 - $60 what do you think.

I posted new links below

Your links are broken.

A lot of people like the Astro Evo series.

http://www.spraygunworld.com/products/Astro/index.htm

I have an Astro QUL 1.9 as a primer gun, I really like it. The Astro guns are about $80. They're SATA knockoffs. What's funny (to me) is that I like the fan control on my Astro gun better than my DeVilbiss GFG-670. The only thing I don't like about my Astro is the way it was machined, you have to have the tip Jesus tight (as in, tighten until you yell "Jesus"). Otherwise the tip can leak air and sputter. I called Astro, and they said "that's the way it is". A cheap 3/4" wrench later, and I'm OK with it. But the EVO series is apparently not that way.

well... i bought a kit with a prime gun (1.8 tip) and a base/clear gun (1.3 tip) from eastwood for about $120.00 and they work great i have no problems but they use way to much material and the fan and atomazation quality isnt as good as better guns... so i bought a devilbiss plus for basing with a 1.3 tips and a binks m1-g for clear with 1.4 tips (love the binks for clearing) i bought them used off my boss for $400 for both guns which is a steal for guns that were barely used seeing as they are were his back ups.... but you should tell what you are trying to spray.... if your doing a full paint get good guns...

Can't say anything for the cheaper guns, but if you browse around, you can find a good deal on a good gun.

I bought a SATA Digital-2 NR2000 off eBay for $180, sent it to SATA to have it repaired, which they did for free, so I only had to pay the cost of shipping.

+1 on the question above; what are you spraying?

I use the Binks M1-G for both bases and clears and love it. I've had mine about 5 years now with no issues.

Sorry for the links not working try these ones. This is what I was thinking. Im painting a spoiler and hood. Also what air pressure are you spaying with.

Air pressure is going to depend on the gun itself, but the answer to your question is spray and the pressure that best atomizes the paint, gives you a consistent and equal fan pattern and doesn't create runs, drips or dry spray.
In other words you'll have to shoot some tests and adjust the gun accordingly.

In honesty Novice users will find almost all guns equal. If you use it a lot and switch guns then you'd know. Buy a Harbor Freight cheap one, a quart of cheap or free paint get a junk fender and spray the thing.

I use a durablock 007. I like it because the nozzle and cup are interchangeable so switching between primer, base, and clear is really quick. It's almost like having 3 seperate guns.

i have the same system with the 3m cups on my iwatas and i like them because the cup swivels so you can even spray upside down and move around in different angels. I also have the digital satas and i dont like them at all ill prefer the iwatas over the satas all day long. Its really easy to lay down clear with the iwatas they atomize so well.
