Clearcoated Headlights

Clearcoated Headlights Has anyone done this? I wanna get rid of the damn weather fogging on my headlights for good, and this seems the only way to do it. If anyone has done it, can you post pics or steps on how you did it? (I.E. what type of clearcoat, did you bake it, etc)
ive polished headlights to a very very nice shine, using 600-2000 grit sandpaper then some plastic-x polish... they're foggy when you're done with the 2000, until they're wet. I bet clear would stick to them once you're done sanding, but id just as soon polish them to avoid future problems. i could do a pair in 2 hours easily and have them look great.

when you do this do you remove the prongs on the headlights.. (the plastic points). i have always wondered that and where did oyu get the pastic-x polish?
